Creatures
God's creatures,
With godly features.
Dont stare too much into that mirror.
I know it must be hard for you, since you always feeling blue.
And use the mirror to alter your mood.
But what's sad to see is that even if i told you, you beautiful.
You wouldnt believe me until you stood in front of a mirror.
As you murmur:
"Oh mirror, mirror on the wall"
"Who is the prettiest of them all?
Tell me ill make Kings fall to their knees"
Thats all i ever hear these days.
A year ago i thought it was all a phase.
But here we are, still rewinding the same tape.
God's creatures,
With godly features.
You sit in your nest like a bird with no wings,
Your eyes tell me you scared to take flight because you've been told its a long way down.
But have you forgetten?
Forgotten that we learn from picking ourselves up.
So before you leave your nest today just remember,
Like birds, we need to stay above ground,
Fly high enough to stay above clouds.
Because God made a bird out of you.
And now you have a sky to rule.
Look at the sky as you imagine my heart turn blue.
Colour changing because of the emotions that aren't in tune.
God's creatures,
With godly features.
Creatures that go deep than you can see.
Like plenty of other fish in the sea,
From a distance, you like peas is a pot.
Resembling the same features like a flock of sardines.
Uniquely made and yet you fight to share the same identity.
As if you were married to vanity.
And tucked in your vulnerability,
Hidden by the feathers you dress yourself with.
God's creatures,
With godly features.
