Our brains are a very powerful tool. They take full control of our body operations. The fact that you can read this message, scroll down this screen is functions that your brain process. Without the mind, the body can't operate. Our brains translate what we see with our eyes into our own unique understanding of the world dynamics comes the saying we don't think alike. Our brains are so powerful that it can turn our thoughts into reality. I want you to read that last line i said again and again untill you get tired. No like really do it. Our brains are so powerful that it cab turn our thoughts into reality. Take it into whatever context you want but what I'm tryna say is that the world is nothing but a canvas of our thoughts turned into reality. Everything you see, touch and use which was man made was one, or maybe more peoples thoughts turned into reality. Facebook, twitter, BBM, all these things were.just a dream to someone, today its a neccesity for billions. Like it...

The Art of Giving.

Image
If theres one thing my mom told & taught me to grow old with, Its the gesture of "Giving". Theres a difference between giving out of the kindness of your heart and giving just because you were asked to. Last night on my way home. A limping, grey headed, old lady was walking in the opposite direction i was walking in. So she tapped my hand and pulled me to the side and asked me for R1, for a freaken R1. Which i unfortunately didnt have, but i gave her R5 which was initially meant for something else (im no millionnaire). This woman's face instantly lit up and glowed, and you could see it wasnt a fake grin but a genuine smile. That really touched me. We tend to take lightly how far a simple gesture of giving the smallest things can mean a whole lot more to the reciever. Well,Rewind back in to the lives we live in nowadays, lives where we only want to give something to someone (even if they not less fortunate) if we ourselves receive something in return. Im no s...

Are You Better Than Me?

Image
We all have different outlooks on life and different goals. We live our lives differently. Have different belief systems. We value different things, our cultures are vastly diversified. One question. What makes your life better then those around you? Now this is sensitive and quite a complex question to answer cause in todays society people be always catching feelings outchea. What makes your life better than mine? If you can answer that question, you shallow. I mean it. We all want different things from life. Life is an individual journey of ( self) discovery. We are not the same so technically no one is better than the other. I don't care if you got millions, own strip clubs or whatever. We all walk on the same ground, same earth, breath the same oxygen and ultimately drink the same water. Drink your distilled spring water, its still comprises of the compounds hydrogen and oxygen. What I'm trying to say is don't worry yourself about what others are doing or how far are...

Be your own leader.

People grow up listening to the wrong rappers. Looking up to the wrong idols. Following in the footsteps of others and not paving a clear path broad enough for their own footsteps. Thats why history repeats itself, because we caught up between making something of our lives and trying to be someone else. Its a fact, because we see all these types of people everyday on tv, rapping about shit they dont know, idols shooting drugs up into their systems to find consolement. And then you get those that find being on the other side of law as a hobby. In whatever you do, someone is always watching no matter how big or small you are, so eventually theres going to come a time where people look up to you. Success doesnt define a person's intel . So just stay true to who you are and the rest will fall into place eventually. Nceba Thabethe

Where's Home?

Image
My cousin said to me apartheid is still alive. I asked him why he believes that. He told me black people are still poor. Then my response initialy was laughter but it got me thinking. Then i said to him as long as there's a black brother driving a Lamborghini...then apartheid is non existent in todays society. We kept on arguing but what i learnt from this was that we don't know much about our countries past, so if we don't know where we from, how will we know were we going? A pastor once said you cannot comment on foreign culture when you don't even know your own. When you don't know where home is, you are a worthless cause you have no origin. In modern terms you like a plastic, you stuff whatever you stuff in there and when you empty, you drift of to other worlds. Today is 16 June. Youth Day, I'm not gonna tell you of the importance and the history of this day but i want you to find out for yourself. This our heritage, this is our culture, this is our id...

Dead Presidents.

How angry i get when i see how some people act like life was always like this is in South Aftica, that we lived so freely and we chose where we want to live, like people were never oppressed. Im a born free, i might not know so much about the proceedings during the Apartheid or after. But i sure as hell know those were some tough times for the blvck and coloured people of South Africa. Just imagine if you were told that you not allowed to use the public toilets just because of your skin colour. Imagine if you couldnt even walk, chill or even play in a park freely just because of your skin colour. And although all those hard times are now behind us, i still feel the sense of racism amongst the born frees. This shows that some parents havent healed as much as others and feed their off-spring with whatever it is they feed them with, then when they get to school, work, sports or where ever and you see that this person actually doesnt like any other race except his/her own. Im only turni...

Please Dont Shoot Me Down!

I think of Police Brutality back in the 1970s, when people were still oppressed by the fvcked apartheid government. Comparing the police now and the police of the 70s, not much has changed besides that more blacks have joined the force than whites, but brutality still sticks. We've all heard or even seen how they treat people. Beating them so hard that they land up in hospital or even dead. I watched Special Assignment the other night and they were reviewing videos recorded by these sick-twisted police officers and they were sending their police dogs on a few black men and beating them up so brutally, those videos were honestly disturbing , i mean what the fvck is that? And you would think these are the same people we should call up to come protect us and shit?? I dont blame those that get guns and find justice themselves, its because police officers are just a piece of shit. Truth be told. Not a day goes by without a complaint is filed against police officers from the highest...
