Dead Presidents.

How angry i get when i see how some people act like life was always like this is in South Aftica, that we lived so freely and we chose where we want to live, like people were never oppressed.

Im a born free, i might not know so much about the proceedings during the Apartheid or after. But i sure as hell know those were some tough times for the blvck and coloured people of South Africa.
Just imagine if you were told that you not allowed to use the public toilets just because of your skin colour.
Imagine if you couldnt even walk, chill or even play in a park freely just because of your skin colour.
And although all those hard times are now behind us, i still feel the sense of racism amongst the born frees. This shows that some parents havent healed as much as others and feed their off-spring with whatever it is they feed them with, then when they get to school, work, sports or where ever and you see that this person actually doesnt like any other race except his/her own.

Im only turning 20 this year, so you do the math and youll know when i shot out my moms womb to walk the face of earth. But ive been in high school and believe you me, Racism still exists behind closed curtains.

With the access we have to the internet today we should be more informed about our history more than ever before, but some choose not to, which i dont blame you for doing.

My mom used to tell me back in the apartheid era you couldnt even get far, you were restricted to going further than your settlement and they always had to carry around, what they called a " dom-pass", so that they could keep track of them.
Nothing in this country came free, everything was fought for. From Land to Power.

Then i look at us, the so-called born-free generation, also known as the late former President "Nelson Mandela's Legacy".
Are we honestly honouring the name? I doubt it. We are more lost than found in this country, we can hardly do simple stuff without giving up, we are weak-minded if i may say.
What will be said about the President of our generation ??
We can only hope of a replica of Nelson Mandela, nothing less.

As the born-free generation we are
about to embark on adult life in the
new South Africa.
I mean, we even had our first time to vote this year, but not everybody exercised that right

Let this be a reminder, that paying homage to the fallen freedom fighters of this country is vital.
